Hello Alan,
Forgive me for this rather unorthodox way of getting in touch. I’m Zachary Smith, the CTO of Daintree Networks. We were at the last ZigBee Alliance meeting in Atlanta together, I think. In any case, Daintree, in addition to making the best Network Analyzer for ZigBee networks also makes an operating platform, called MeshOperator, that is designed to support deployments exactly like those required by Smart Energy. We try as hard as we can to stay out of the application space and instead provide infrastructure and tools for deployment, monitoring, maintenance and the other things required to keep a million HANs up and running. Completely randomly, you popped up in my dream last night… We were on some kind of weird, gigantic scavenger hunt (?!?)…
